Pokaiwhenua Stream - Restoration Plan

Client Name: Pokaiwhenua Catchment Action Group

Project Overview: Element Environmental worked alongside the Pokaiwhenua catchment action group to develop a community restoration plan for the Pokaiwhenua stream to help achieve the community vision of restoring and enhance the wellbeing of the catchment for the benefit of the community.  The restoration plan builds on the groups vision and focusses effort on restoration to improve biodiversity within an area that could provide many of the other goals, particularly access, reconnection, protection of waterways and food gathering.

Key Insights: Element Environmental worked with Pokaiwhenua to develop a detailed guide to enable landowners to build on existing restoration efforts within Pokaiwhenua stream and implement restoration actions and conduct ongoing ecological monitoring.
